Best Coffee Shops in LONDON

Everbean: Everbean ended up being my go-to coffee shop during my time in London. Cappuccinos are AMAZING 10/10, especially if you ask for a little chocolate sprinkled on top. The atmosphere here is also 10/10 with a semi-circular window on the ground floor with stools facing out toward the street and light beaming into the room, a communal round table, and a small upstairs area with extra seating. I spent quite a bit of time sitting in those stools people-watching and doing crosswords. Baristas and bar staff are super friendly and bring your order to you, and the latte art is gorgeous! Only downside – no bathroom! I don’t know about you guys, but coffee makes things MOVEE internally – is that just me??

Black Sheep Coffee: honestly, Black Sheep Coffee gave Everbean a run for its money as my numero uno. Everbean ended up winning in my heart, but you cannot go wrong with Black Sheep. They have two types of beans to choose from: light & fruity or strong & chocolatey. Obviously I chose the latter, and the strong & chocolatey cappuccino was 10/10. I also had a piece of their Pear, Chocolate, & Cardamom cake and it was perfectly light and delicious. Baristas here are incredibly friendly, but the downside is that it has very limited seating. I never had a problem finding a seat, but there are only about 4 tables and then 2 stools at the window.

Arro – The Temple of Coffee: stopped in here on my walk to Notting Hill and I loved it! The cappuccino here was nothing short of delish, although nothing too special either (7.5/10), but the atmosphere was really great! I sat here for awhile just reading a newspaper and enjoyed every second of it. The presentation of the coffee is very different from a lot of places, and I’ll do anything for a good insta photo 😉

Caffe Vergnano: I walked in here on a whim. I was walking to get theatre tickets at Leicester Square and passed this coffee shop with a sign saying “Voted Coffee Shop of the Year. Best Espresso in London.” Obviously I couldn’t write a post on the best coffee shops in London without at least checking this place out! It didn’t rank quite that high on my list, but it was definitely delicious! I ended up going here twice. First time I got a Turino Mocha 8/10, and the second time I reverted to a classic cappuccino, 9/10. I prefer the atmosphere and presentation of Arro, but if the coffee were the only criteria this place would easily jump above Arro.
